Spinning Fishing Like A Pro With The Help Of These 3 Tips

What is Spinning?

Spinning is a fishing technique in which the angler casts a lure and then reels it back. This fishing technique makes the lure mimic a movement of injured baitfish, or attract fish through vibrations and reflections.

Spinning fishing equipment

Spinning fishing typically uses spinning reels, spinning rods, and nylon or braided lines.

1)Spinning reels

A spinning reel has a bail wire that rotates around a fixed spool to wrap the line onto the spool. The spool can be held in a fixed position as the line from the spool is wound and unwound, and the spool is often removable and allows the angler to use multiple spools on a single reel.

2)Spinning rods
Spinning rods are usually made of graphite or fiberglass. But graphite rods are not only lighter, but they also help achieve a better hook set than soft fiberglass rods. The thread guides on cast rods and swivel rods are installed differently. The line guides on cast rods are mounted on the top of the rod, and line guides on spinning rods are mounted on the bottom of the rod to line up with the reel. Usually, the rod needs to be between 6’6” and 7’ long.

3)Nylon or braided line

You can use braided or nylon fishing lines. The nylon fishing line is elastic but twists easily. Most people like to use between 3-6 lbs of braided line, which increases casting distance. Of course, you'll need to choose the right line based on conditions like where you're fishing, your target fish, and the weather.

Spinning fishing lures

You can choose spinnerbait, wobbler, spoon, or soft bait as a spinning fishing lure.

1) Spinnerbait's blades spin as the lure moves, producing vibrations, fluttering, and flashing.

2) The wobbler performs a characteristic wobbling motion when retrieved. The most popular are crankbaits and jerkbaits.

3) The fishing spoons come in different shapes and sizes and can vibrate and reflect light when retrieved in the water.

4) Soft baits will mimic worms and small fish. For example, using reel and paddle tail soft baits, when you drop your bait, slowly and continuously retract your reel, which is very attractive to many fish.
