Fishing Spot Variability

Fish will change their residence and living range to survive. Therefore, the selection of fishing spots should vary with the change of the range. This change may be due to changes in temperature and changes in illumination. First, temperature changes  have a direct impact on the life of fish. Fish are cold-blooded animals and cannot generate heat by themselves, so fish have a very obvious thermotaxis. Too high or too low temperature will affect the fish catch. Therefore, the selection of fishing spots must be based on the living range of different target fish at different temperatures. Secondly, the intensity of the illumination has a direct impact on the life of the fish. Some fish that are afraid of strong light can only hide in the shady place. It is also an important method to choose fishing spots according to the intensity of illumination.

Flowing Water

You also need to pay special attention if there is flowing water, whether it’s the flowing water of the entire river system or an area of the water you are fishing. The vast majority of fish forage against the current, and in the absence of flowing water, the fish’s appetite is relatively low. Fish love the flow of water, especially if the water temperature is right, the flow of water will bring oxygen and food. In the water inlet, windward and other waters, the oxygen content in the water is very abundant. However, pay attention to the influence of wind on the flow of water. Sometimes the flow generated by the wind and the original flow cancels each other out, making the water flow slowly.

Vegetation

You also need to pay attention to the vegetation, the green vegetation barriers will generate oxygen and give the fish space to hide and ambush. Large trees on the shore often extend their roots into the water,  forming root caves, which are good hiding places for fish. Even a small patch of vegetation, a few clusters of aquatic plants, maybe a spot for hiding fish. At the same time, there are many microorganisms, humus, and small animals next to the aquatic plants, as well as tender grass leaves and bud cores. Bugs on the trees may also become fish food.

River Bend

The last thing to remind everyone is to pay attention to the bend. The bend of the river bank means the change of the direction of the water body, the bend of the river channel that may exist underwater, the change of the mountain structure, or the extension of the sharp ridge. These points are all stable fishing points. Some river sections are closer to the estuary and are affected by the tide. During high tide, the water quality is turbid, the visibility is poor, and there are many floating objects on the water’s surface. The bend where the various rivers meet is where the fish feed.
